Spectrum Fantastic Art Live 4 is pleased to be able to announce the debut of Cathy Fenner's most recent project, Women of Wonder. If the cover does not already give it away, let us assure you that this volume of Fantastic Art is going to be filled with works that will inspire you and captivate your imagination, created by some of the most talented women working in the field.

In asking her to say a few words about the book, Cathy Fenner writes:

"Women of Wonder is a book that shines the spotlight on women creators of fantastic art. Though the illustration and gallery markets have traditionally been seen as a largely male profession, women have always been active participants, from Kewpie creator Rose O'Neill in the early 1900s to 1950s Disney film designer Mary Blair to Spectrum Grand Masters Diane Dillon and Kinuko Y. Craft. Increasingly women are making their marks in the world of contemporary fantastic art and inspiring new generations of illustrators, designers, sculptors, and painters. I was inspired to put together this collection after watching the expanding numbers of women artists featured in Spectrum; a book seemed like a happy way to acknowledge that growth. However, Women of Wonder isn't some sort of political polemic but is simply a colorful celebration of the imagination and of exemplary creators who just happen to be women."

We of the SFAL Committee cannot wait to get our hands on a copy, and we look forward to getting it into your hands as well.

Some of the Women of Wonder who will be attending Spectrum Fantastic Art Live 4 include:
    Julie Dillon
    Karla Ortiz
    Rovina Cai
    Tran Nguyen
    Jasmine Becket-Griffith
    Wylie Beckert
    Lindsey Look

  • Occidente giapponese - L’eroe storico occidentale nell’immaginario a fumetti giapponese

    Immagine

    Autore: Luca Paolo Bruno
    Editore: Società Editrice La Torre
    Data di pubblicazione: maggio 2015
    Lingua: italiano
Formato: 14,8x21 cm, brossurato con copertina a colori, illustrazioni in b/n, 152 pagine
    Prezzo: € 16,50
    ISBN-10: 8896133254
    ISBN-13: 978-8896133255
