Antologici

All'interno della serie televisiva antologica Disneyland era possibile trovare chicche d'ogni tipo. Walt Disney sfruttava infatti questo spazio per riproporre materiale d'archivio, ma anche per presentare produzioni nuove, realizzate ad hoc per il suo programma contenitore. A partire dagli anni 60, accanto alle miniserie in più episodi iniziano ad essere prodotti anche dei lungometraggi one-shot, pensati specificatamente per questo particolare formato, e di conseguenza “spalmati” lungo due o tre episodi settimanali. L'Era del Disney Channel

Con l'arrivo nel 1983 del Disney Channel, la Company inizia a produrre film televisivi pensati appositamente per la messa in onda sulla propria rete. Li contraddistingue la dicitura Disney Channel Premiere Films, che viene prontamente cambiata nel 1997 in Disney Channel Original Movies. Con l'evoluzione del canale, che anno dopo anno decide di rivolgersi specificatamente ad un pubblico di adolescenti, anche i film tv si allineano a questa politica. Fra le più importanti hit di questa “fase adolescenziale” si ricordano i cicli di High School Musical e di Camp Rock. Sono inclusi per affinità in questa lista anche i pochi film televisivi prodotti nella stessa epoca ma destinati ad altri circuiti.
